The 19-year-old, Charlottetown, P.E.I., native was involved in a six-player trade between the Yarmouth Mariners and the South Shore Lumberjacks.
MacCallum was traded along with Devon Rose, Andrew Barron, Dillon Boucher, a first- and fourth-round pick in the 2015 MHL Draft for Gareth Nicholson, Cray Roberge and a 2016 sixth-round pick.
The Mariners tweeted the news today. Here is the trade in more detail.

MacCallum posted a 7-7 record with the Islanders this season with a 4.65 goals against average and 0.859 save percentage. He was the go-to-guy in the playoffs helping the Islanders reach the second round for the first time since 2004 by posting a 3-5 record with a 3.26 goals against average and a 0.911 save percentage.
This trade does not mean MacCallum will not be back with the Islanders next season. The Canadian Junior A Hockey League's trading period opened its doors today. This trade means if MacCallum happens to be cut from the Islanders, he can play for Yarmouth since he is too old to return to Major Midget.
