A former P.E.I. Rocket forward signed in Sweden, according to reports.
Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports tweeted Tuesday morning that former Montreal/P.E.I. Rocket forward Maxim Lapierre has signed with Modo Hockey of the Swedish Hockey League.

Lapierre, 30, played one full season with the Montreal Rocket and two full seasons with the team in Charlottetown.
In 2002-03, he played nine games with the Rocket and collected two goals. The following season, the St-Léonard, Que., native scored 22 goals and 43 points in 72 games.
With the franchise in P.E.I., Lapierre scored 50 goals and 113 points in 136 games.
Since the Rocket, Lapierre has appeared in 614 NHL games with the Montreal Canadiens, Anaheim Ducks, Vancouver Canucks, St. Louis Blues, and the Pittsburgh Penguins and has amassed 65 goals and 139 points. He has also skated in 129 games in the AHL with the Hamilton Bulldogs and scored 31 goals and 74 points.
