Troy Vance update with Elmira

Elmira Jackals
An update on former Charlottetown Islanders defenceman Troy Vance.

After playing his last QMJHL game on Thursday March 27 in Game 4 against the Halifax Mooseheads, he was re-assigned to the Elmira Jackals of the East Coast Hockey League by the Dallas Stars several days later.

The Goshen, N.Y. native has played in four games so far with Elmira scoring a goal and adding an assist.

Vance, 20, made his debut with the Jackals on Wednesday April 2 in a home game against the Kalamazoo Wings wearing No. 17. He was pointless and a minus-one rating with one shot on goal. The Jackals lost the game 6-3.

On Friday April 4, Vance picked up an assist and was a plus-one in a 5-1 win over the Orlando Solar Bears.

Vance scored his first goal the next night against the Evansville IceMen, scoring the first goal of the game at 7:43 of the first period with assists going to Rob Bellamy and Mike Vaskivuo.

The Elmira Jackals are next in action Friday April 11 at the South Carolina Stingrays.
