Former P.E.I. Rocket forward Mark Lee signed with Fassa of an Italy-based hockey league on Thursday.
Lee, 30, played one season with the Rocket in the 2003-04 season during its inaugural season in Charlottetown. In 65 games, the native of Mount Pearl, N.L., had 11 goals and 25 points with 53 penalty minutes and a plus-10 rating.
After the Rocket, Lee played with the Kansas City Outlaws of the now-defunct United Hockey League and had 20 goals and 67 points in 78 games.
He has appeared in 52 AHL games and 195 ECHL games. Since 2009-10, Lee has been playing overseas with leagues in Denmark, Finland and Germany.
