A handful of Charlottetown Islanders players and prospects were drafted in the Maritime Junior A Hockey League (MHL) on Saturday.
Mitchell Balmas, Dominik Reid, Ian Drysdale and Luke House were the four players selected.
Defenceman Zack McFadden was selected by the Summerside Capitals during the QMJHL Supplementary Draft.
Balmas, 17, was selected in the sixth round, 70th overall by the Amherst Ramblers.
Reid was a territorial pick of the St. Stephen County Aces. The Islanders drafted Reid in the seventh round, 123rd overall in 2015.
Drysdale, was a territorial pick of the Amherst Ramblers. The 16-year-old Halifax, N.S., native was an eighth round pick of the Islanders in 2015.
House, 16, was a territorial pick of the Yarmouth Mariners. The native of Corner Brook, N.L., was a third round pick, 55th overall by the Islanders in 2014.
