The Charlottetown Islanders traded the fifth overall pick to the Val-d'Or Foreurs today at the 2015 QMJHL Entry Draft in Sherbrooke, Que.
In return, the Islanders acquired the 13th overall pick and a first-round pick in 2016 from Val-d'Or.
With the fifth overall pick, the Foreurs selected goaltender Dereck Baribeau from St-Francois of the QMAAA.
The Islanders were without a first-round pick in 2016 after dealing it to Saint John last year for Oliver Cooper.
