Chlapik, MacKinnon, McDonald among big winners at Islanders Fan Choice Awards



Filip Chlapik, Ryan MacKinnon and Mason McDonald won a couple of awards last night at the second annual Charlottetown Islanders Fan Choice Awards Monday night.

Chlapik took home Rookie of the Year and then Moose Light Three Stars Selection awards.

MacKinnon took home the Class Act/Gentlemen's Award and Defensive Player of the Year.

McDonald was the winner of the Player's Player Award and Most Valueable Player.

Daniel Sprong took home the Offensive Player of the Year for the second consecutive season after scoring 39 goals and 88 points.

Most Dedicated Player: Ross Johnston

Volunteer of the Year: Wesley Hood

Fan Favourite Award: Kameron Kielly

Play of the Year: "Tic-Tac-Toe"
