Cobbold's rights traded to MHL

Charlottetown Islanders forward Spenser Cobbold had his Junior A rights traded to the Weeks Crushers of the MHL yesterday.

According to EliteProspects, Cobbold's previous Junior A rights were owned by the Kanata Lasers of the CJHL. His rights were then traded to the Brooks Bandits if the AJHL before being traded to Weeks Crushers of the MHL. 

This Stirtsville, Ont. native is currently competing for the third and final 20-year-old spot with Mike DiPaolo, Craig MacLauchlan and Anthony Cortese. 

Teams are only allowed to carry three 20-year-old players on their rosters. 

Ross Johnston and Ryan MacKinnon, acquired on May 30, are locks as two of the team's three overage spots.
