The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League announced its roster for the 2014 Subway SuperSeries roster today and it does not include a Charlottetown Islanders player.
It is the first time since 2009 that no players from the franchise were chosen for the event. Defenceman Ryan Graves was named to the team last season, defenceman Jimmy Oligny in 2012, goalie Maxime Lagace in 2011 and forward Philippe Paradis in 2010.
Both Charlottetown and the Moncton Wildcats had players left off of the QMJHL roster, but Moncton's Russian superstars Ivan Barbashev and Vladimir Tkachev will most likely play for Russia.
