Islanders add free agent McFadden to training camp roster

Prior to tonight's loss to the Saint John Sea Dogs, the Charlottetown Islanders added defenceman free agent Zack McFadden to the team's training camp roster.

McFadden, who will turn 19 at the end of September, played for the Guelph Hurricanes of the GOJHL last season scoring 14 goals and 40 points in 44 games. The Guelph, Ont., native appeared in 11 games with the OHL's Sudbury Wolves during 2012-13 season, recording one assist.

The five-foot-11, 174-pound frame played in the Islanders game tonight.

Charlottetown opens the season at home on Sept. 12 against the Saint John Sea Dogs.
