Six Isles players to attend NHL development camps

Six Charlottetown Islanders players will be attending NHL development camps this month.

Forwards Ross Johnston (Arizona Coyotes), Oliver Cooper (Colorado Avalanche), Alex Goulet (Montreal Canadiens) and Mike DiPaolo (Columbus Blue Jackets), along with Captain Ryan MacKinnon (Buffalo Sabres) and goaltender Mason McDonald (Calgary McDonald) will attend their respective NHL development camps.

All six players could be unavailable for the team's season home opener on Sept. 12 against Saint John and could possibly miss a few more games each.

The Islanders have two exhibition games left, Friday Sept. 5 in Saint John and Saturday Sept. 6 at home against Saint John. Islanders will open the season at home on Friday Sept. 12 against the Saint John Sea Dogs at 7 p.m. AST.
