Handfull of Islanders named to CSS Prelimary 2015 November Players to Watch list

Five Charlottetown Islanders players have been named to the CSS Preliminary 2015 November Players to Watch list.

Central Scouting Services released the list today.

Filip Chlapik and Daniel Sprong were given an A rating, which indicates first-round candidates. Chlapik leads the Islanders in scoring with 13 goals and 32 points in 25 games in his rookie season. Sprong is second in team scoring with 13 goals and and 29 points in 25 games.




Defenceman David Henley was given a B rating, which indicates second- or third-round candidates. The 17-year-old, Val-d'Or, Que., native has one goal with 57 penalty minutes and a minus-10 rating in 23 games this season. Note, he has been a healthy scratch in Charlottetown's last two games.

Forwards Kameron Kielly and Alexandre Goulet were given C ratings, which indicates fourth- to sixth-round candidates. Kielly is third in team scoring with nine goals and 21 points in 25 games. Goulet, 18, who went undrafted in Calgary at the 2013 NHL Draft, is fourth in team scoring with 10 goals and 18 points in 23 games.

There are 46 QMJHL players included on the list. Only Charlottetown and Saint John have five players listed.

The 2015 NHL Draft takes place in Sunrise, Fla.
