Johnston to make debut Saturday

It is the news Islanders have been waiting for. Ross Johnston will make his Islanders debut Saturday Nov. 15 when the Islanders host the Victoriaville Tigres.

Johnston has been sidelined since October when getting injured at New York Islanders' training camp.

The six-foot-five, 225-pound Charlottetown native will skate in his first game with his new team and it just so happens to be against his former team. Last season with Victoriaville, Johnston put up 10 goals and 25 points in 60 games.

Johnston was originally drafted by Moncton in the sixth round in 2011 and played two season with the Wildcats from 2011-2013 scoring 14 goals and  34 points in 91 games.
